From mushroom foraging to woodcraft, forest learning is an inspirational process of learning activities in a forest or natural environment.
Forest schools are most often centred around teaching small children in natural environments, but Forest Horizons has a much wider aim than that. From cradle to grave, we want people to feel more confident and knowledgeable in their natural surroundings. Participants will be able to make and create things for both artistic and practical purposes and they will learn about nature by knowing how things grow and connect, what is edible and safe and how to take shelter from the elements.
To help people to reconnect with nature in the local and wider community by leading activities in woodlands and natural environments that promote independence, resilience, confidence and creativity. From mushroom foraging to bushcraft, a strong connection and understanding with nature promotes mental and physical well-being and works towards individual and community harmony.
